Can't find it here? The RepublicACH User Guide (PDF) walks through every screen in the platform.
RepublicACH accepts transaction files in the following formats:
- TXT (Text)
- CSV
- Excel (New)
RepublicACH is designed with multiple layers of security to protect your information and transactions:
- Unique User Credentials: Each authorised user is assigned a unique username and password.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Additional verification is required at log-in to enhance account security.
- Advanced Encryption: Data is encrypted using industry-standard technology to protect sensitive information from unauthorised access.
- Robust Internal Controls: The system is supported by strong security, monitoring and operational controls.
- Reduced Fraud Risk: ACH transactions help reduce risks associated with cheque fraud, mail theft, interception, and impersonation.
Together, these measures provide a secure and reliable electronic payment experience.
Yes. Payment files must go through an approval process before they can be submitted to Republic Bank for processing. This approval is assigned to the designated company user identified during the onboarding process.
You must also ensure that your company’s account has sufficient available funds before transactions are processed. If funds are unavailable, approval from your Corporate or Account Manager is required to process against uncleared funds.
Yes. To add a new user, simply submit signed and authorised ACH User Management forms.
Please note the company stamp must be affixed on this document. Submit this form to the RepublicACH Department at least 48 hours (two business days) before the date you intend to send the file for processing.
RepublicACH supports both credit and debit transactions, enabling businesses to send and collect payments electronically.
Credit Transactions:
- Salaries and wages
- Supplier payments (replacing paper cheques)
- Dividends
- Pension and bonus payments
- Medical service payments and insurance claims
Debit Transactions:
- Insurance premium payments
- Loan and mortgage repayments
RepublicACH allows businesses to credit accounts directly or automatically collect payments on agreed dates. For collections, customers provide authorisation once, allowing for seamless recurring transactions.
Yes, there are limits on transaction values; however, there is no limit to the number of transactions that can be included in a file:
- File Total Limit: During onboarding, your company establishes a maximum total value per file. Transactions can be processed up to this approved limit.
- Number of Transactions: There is no limit to the number of transactions you can include in a file.
- Per Transaction Limit: Each individual transaction must be under $500,000.
Transactions of $500,000 or more must be processed through your branch using the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system.
Files may be submitted up to 30 days before the effective date and no later than 12:00pm on the effective date.
The effective date is the date on which your company wants the funds to be available to employees. If the payment date falls on a public holiday or non-banking day, the previous business day must be selected as the effective date.
For example: if the payment date is 24th September 2026, the effective date will be 23rd September 2026. Files must therefore be submitted by 12:00pm on 23rd September 2026.
If files are sent after 12:00pm, they will be collected but processed on the following business day.
Yes. You may request changes to your RepublicACH processing limits, including temporary increases or decreases.
To do so, submit a written request to your Corporate or Account Manager at least two business days in advance. The request must be signed by the authorised signatories listed on your ACH application form.
Once approved, your Corporate or Account Manager will forward the request to the ACH Department for processing.
If an error occurs, such as an overpayment or duplicate payment to an employee, your company should notify the affected recipient(s) immediately.
To initiate a recovery request, contact the RepublicACH Support Team for assistance. A formal query should be submitted to achsupport@rfhl.com including details of the processing file and transaction(s) in question.
Recovery requests must be initiated within 48 hours of the original transaction in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Please note that the recovery of funds cannot be guaranteed.

The upgraded ACH platform offers several key benefits to enhance your overall experience:
- Enhanced Security: Strengthened security controls, including mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Improved Performance: Greater system reliability and faster processing.
- Increased Self-Service: User-friendly features that allow users to manage tasks independently.
- Greater Flexibility: Expanded file upload options and enhanced reporting capabilities.
Together, these enhancements provide a more secure, efficient, and convenient platform for managing your transactions.
The upgraded RepublicACH platform includes several new and enhanced features designed to improve security, usability, and flexibility:
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Added security for all ACH users.
- Self-Service Password Resets: Users can reset passwords without contacting the Bank.
- Expanded File Format Support: Greater flexibility when uploading ACH files.
- Enhanced Reporting: Additional options for retrieving and downloading reports.
- Improved User Experience: A modern interface with easier navigation.
All users must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Email Address: Required for authentication, system notifications, and password resets.
- Mobile Device: Users must have access to a mobile device that supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) applications (e.g., Microsoft or Google Authenticator). This may be either a corporate-issued or personal device.
- Up-to-Date Contact Information: User details must be accurate and confirmed.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an added layer of security designed to protect your account and transactions.
With MFA, users must verify their identity using two factors:
- Something you know: Your password.
- Something you have: A second verification method, typically generated through a mobile authentication app.
Supported MFA applications include Microsoft Authenticator and Google Authenticator.
This process helps ensure that only authorised users can access the system, even if login credentials are compromised.
If a user changes their mobile device, they can easily reset their Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) without needing assistance from the ACH team.
Please note that MFA requirements apply to all users without exception to ensure continued account security.
Yes. Password reset links have been updated and are now:
- Date-based: Each link is generated for a specific day.
- Time-limited: Valid only until the end of the calendar day.
There are no changes to the existing file formats currently used for ACH uploads. The system will continue to support CSV and TXT files.
In addition, a new format has been introduced: Excel file uploads are now also supported, providing greater flexibility when submitting files.
Yes. Usernames must now include the Originator ID as a suffix (e.g., JDoe1234).
This requirement ensures uniqueness, as the upgraded system does not allow duplicate usernames.
